FUCK Fuck – Film Analysis by Osaadu Florence Dede Runtime: 10 minutes Genre: Short – Comedy / Drama Director: Danny Morgan Writer: Helen Simmons Story and Theme Fuck is a tightly wound, 10-minute British comedy-drama starring Brett Goldstein as Adam and Esther Smith as Sarah, a new couple who attempt to reclaim intimacy on the heels of parenthood. Set entirely in one room during a single evening, the story follows their well-planned “sexy night” unraveling under the relentless reality of a crying baby, fatigue, household chores, and even discussing next-day logistics mid-intimacy. The film’s themes resonate strongly—parenthood’s intrusion on romance, the raw authenticity of everyday conversations (like mentioning Calpol mid-act), and the balance of humor with emotional vulnerability. Though the dialogue may veer into sharp snappiness, viewers appreciate the honest rawness at its core, capturing how love and desire adapt under parental fatigue. A Letterboxd reviewer sums it up perf...

Fuck Film Analysis: Fuck (2018)  A Raw Portrait of Love, Parenthood, and Intimacy Fuck (2018) is a brutally honest, darkly comedic short film that captures a deeply relatable struggle the quiet emotional unraveling and subtle resilience of a couple navigating new parenthood. In a single bedroom scene, Adam and Sarah attempt to reclaim intimacy after the birth of their child. What begins as a simple attempt to be physically close turns into a painfully raw, awkward, and ultimately honest conversation about who they have become and what it takes to stay connected when everything else in life is pulling them apart. Story and Theme The film’s narrative is deceptively simple. On the surface, Adam and Sarah are trying to have sex for the first time since becoming parents. However, this small act is filled with emotional tension, vulnerability, and insecurity. As their conversation unfolds, the audience begins to understand how parenthood has altered their identities and shaken their emot...

Fuck – A Short Comedy About Parenting

Fuck – A Short Comedy About Parenting Directed by Danny Morgan Analysed by ANKAMAH SAMUEL KUJO  BFAMPP28011 GROUP 3. Fuck, a short film directed by Danny Morgan, is a funny and honest look at what it’s really like to be new parents. In just a few minutes, the film shows the stress, love, and chaos that come with taking care of a newborn. What makes it unique is that almost all the dialogue is just one word“fuck”used in many different ways to show all kinds of emotions like anger, shock, tiredness, and even joy. Right from the start, the film grabs your attention. It doesn’t waste time with slow introductions. Instead, it jumps straight into the action of two parents dealing with a screaming baby, a messy house, and total exhaustion. Even though it's short, the story feels full. Without giving too much away, it’s about how tough parenting can be and how one day can feel like a rollercoaster. The main message is that parenting is hard and messy, but shared struggles can bring p...

FILM REVIEW ON FUCK

Image
June 29,2025 Posted by :Chelsea Naa Astwei Adjetey  BFAMPP28020.  Group 3 FILM REVIEW: Fuck DIRECTED BY :DANNY MORGAN.  Watching the short film Fck* by Danny Morgan really got me thinking. At first, I thought it was just going to be another funny or wild story about sex or dating, but it turned out to be something deeper. The film shows how some people act like they don’t care when really, they’re hiding what they feel inside. It’s about how we sometimes pretend to be okay just to impress someone or not look weak  but deep down, we’re going through a lot. What stood out to me most was how real it felt. The guy in the film looked confident at first, like he was just looking for a quick hookup. But as the story went on, you could tell he was nervous, confused, and maybe even lonely. It reminded me how people often joke around or act tough, just to cover up how they really feel. That’s the main theme of the film for me hiding your true emotions out of fear of being judg...

GROUP FILM ANALYSIS REVIEW (Still Wylde)

June 29,2025 EffiakumaIVS25  A FILM REVIEW BY Effiakumaivs25 Group  FILM TITLE: STILL WYLDE  PRODUCED BY: BAD MANNERS DIRECTED BY:INGRID HAAS. As a group, we watched Still Wylde and we all agreed it was short but powerful. It was about a couple, Gertie and Patrick, dealing with an unexpected pregnancy. The story mixed funny moments with serious ones, which made it feel real. From the beginning, the film pulled us in because the dialogue was quick, the situation felt real, and there was a lot of tension under the surface. If we were to summarize it without spoiling too much, we’d say it’s about a couple who are trying to figure out their relationship and their future while going through a very personal and emotional moment. We think the message of the film is about how hard it is to make big decisions in a relationship, especially when you’re not sure of your future together. There were also a few surprises in the way Gertie reacted and how emotional things got by th...

Film Analysis: “Mankind Is No Island” By: David Elike Puplampu BFAE28003

Film Analysis: “Mankind Is No Island” By: David Elike Puplampu BFAE28003 The short film Mankind Is No Island made me feel sad but also thoughtful. It showed me how easy it is to ignore people who need help, especially those who are homeless or alone. The film reminded me that every person has a story and feelings, even if we don't notice them. The story caught my attention right from the beginning. It was very unique there were no actors, no dialogue, just real footage from city streets, and words taken from signs and buildings. Even without people speaking, the story was powerful. The main message of the film is that we are all connected, and we should care for one another. There weren’t really twists or surprises in the usual movie way, but the idea of using city signs to tell a deep story was unexpected and very creative. There were no actors or written characters in this film. Instead, it used real footage of people living on the streets. This made the film feel mor...
